||The project "Mapping to Cooperate" stems from the desire to teach mountain and rural enterprises and young people to talk about their territory, culture, agriculture, crafts and environment using digital technologies. The ultimate goal of the project was to start the mapping of local products in the territories of the Lanzo, Ceronda and Casternone Valleys and of the Canavese Valleys through the joint work of sixteen companies and sixteen young residents of the municipalities belonging to the local LAGs and who are enthusiastic about web technologies. The businesses and the young people were involved in two training workshops lasting fifteen days, with lectures and practical activities to learn how to use the OpenStreetMap platform to geo-locate local resources. The young people and the businesses were accompanied by three high-level professionals who gave lectures on three main topics: "Geo-locating on the web", "Describing reality" and "Communicating through images". The course was combined with a competition among the participants; each young person was assigned a business with which to work on geo-referencing; the works produced were judged by a panel of media experts and local representatives, the first three were named winners of the competition and rewarded with the following items: 1st prize: Apple iPad Mini, 2nd prize: Wd My Passport Wireless, 3rd prize: Easyacc Ultra Compact.
